Teen Therapy: A creative approach

Creativity...can be healing whether it is through artistic media, music, play, or storytelling. Creativity also holds the power to aid people in making meaningful connections to ourselves and our experiences of the world around us. Teens and children are often naturally creative. My approach in working with adolescents is to meet them where they are at developmentally. In therapy sessions, we will work together to find your teen’s strengths and develop those strengths into useful tools for expressing themselves, whether through creative outlets or more traditional talk therapy.

"The universe buries strange jewels deep within us all, and then stands back to see if we can find them."

 - Elizabeth Gilbert

Child Therapy

Therapy sessions will involve exploring  possibilities for your child to express themselves. This could be through play, art, story telling... the possibilities are endless. My role is to open the doors for your child to access their inner narrative and bring more awareness to their unique experience of the world.

  • How does a child interact with and perceive the world around them?

  • How do they interact with others and the environment?

  • What are their perceptions versus reality?

Let's get creative and explore these questions with your child.
